Data, body, immaterial labour
Film, duration 1:22
Using mouse-logging Python code, Stan collects the distance his fingers scroll on the mouse over the course of one full day; 21.4m. This data informs the length of a crocheted performative object, that is used as a centrepiece for tactile exploration and experimentation.
Attempting to move with and around this piece of physicalised data, how can we use our senses and haptic knowledge to deepen our understanding of the digital world?
In collaboration with Stan Bidston-Casey
