Song of the Digital Nomad
industrialism, WFH, future of work
In an increasingly digital and immaterial era of labour, our physical connection to our work becomes ever more abstract.
Tapping keys, the thud of a coffee cup, a clicking mouse; the digital nomadic worker tucks quiety behind their delocalised desks. This film amplifies and distorts these sounds of the cognitive labourer until they resemble something like industrial clangs and clamour of the manual workplace.
What is the sound of labour today? What does the future workplace sound like?
